  • Gaming Communities

This group of lady gamers from Ubisoft represent both Ubi and girl gamers everywhere by traveling to industry events, competing in tournaments, and promoting the presence of women in the gaming culture.

House Daenyr is the World of Warcraft guild I am a member of. They really make playing the game a lot of fun. If you play WoW, and play as Alliance on Deathwing, and are in need of a guild - look us up.

Girls Don't Game is a gaming blog run by a few women, one of whom is a friend of mine from the Frag Dolls forum. They discuss and posit all manner of topics pertaining to the gaming industry, give 'em a look.

Game-and-Player is a web community that was recently created by a great group of gamers that I have had the pleasure of knowing for some time now. Take a peek if you consider yourself a keen electronic enthusiast.

"Where Gamers Call Home." 1UP.com is the place where thousands of gamers can blog about their gaming prowess and general thoughts about the culture. In addition to the blogs gamers can keep up with industry news, watch videos, download podcasts, etc.

If you consider yourself a gamer and you are not already familiar with the satirical stylings of the guys over at Penny Arcade - then you need to get out from that rock you are under. These guys have been sticking it to the gaming industry for a few years now and, most of the time, they're right.

Looking For Group is a webcomic loosely based on characters and themes from World of Warcraft, and it's hysterical! The story follows Richard the Warlock and crew as they set out along their epic (*giggle*) quest to save the world...I guess.

VG Cats is another great online comic. This comic satirically spins on all manner of games from Final Fantasy to Splinter Cell.

Move over WoW, there is in another MMORPG in my life. EVE Online is quickly becoming my MMO of choice. Set on a single, semi-freeform server, EVE Online engages the player in epic space combat that includes the most functional and relevant game economy to date. If your a MMO fan, but favor sci-fi to fantasy, then EVE Online is for you.

World of Warcraft, one of the few MMORPGs that I've been able to stand for more than a few weeks. By now I'm sure you've all heard of it, so I really won't go into details concerning it here...because then I wouldn't be playing it.

Pirates of the Burning Sea is a MMORPG from developer Flying Lab Studios based out of Washington. The game features unique and exciting ship to ship, and avatar based combat as you level up your Spanish, French, British, or Pirate character on the high seas.
